Every shirt is designed by our founder Paul Brown and is finished with nice detailing throughout including the use of contrasting fabrics and buttonholes inside the collar and cuffs. We continue to maintain close ties with mills Canclini and Liberty London for our printed cloths which we also use in our me’s shirt collection coupled with the finest buttons from Italian button maker Maribert and Courtney and Co in Britain. We have recently introduced sustainably sourced and fully biodegradable
corozo buttons into our shirt and blouse collection which have proven very popular with our discerning customers.
In addition to our unique and British styling, our ladies shirts and blouses are cut from a block that has been carefully refined over a decade of manufacturing and includes key tailoring features that set them apart from other shirting brands. This includes the split yoke around the shoulder which offers superior comfort and a first class manufacturing process which creates double and triple stitched reinforced seams including French seams which guarantee longevity to each and every shirt. Our shirts and blouses take longer to make than other shirts on the market but the result is second to none. Further we are proud that we use only single needle stitching throughout and a sewn in interfacing to support the collars and cuffs. These features are not obvious and can often be overlooked when buying a shirt, but actually make a huge difference to the finish and long term viability of the product. Our philosophy has always been less is more; it is better to have a smaller wardrobe made up of quality timeless pieces that will last the test of time. Not only does it work out as a better long term investment, but it is also better for the environment.
