The shirt company from Suffolk. For over a decade now we have been designing and manufacturing the finest ladies and men’s shirts all hand cut and made at our factory in the market town of Brandon.

We are passionate about shirt making and have built an international following spread across 40 different countries . This success has been achieved by consistently following a simple set of rules.

1. Finest fabrics and materials

A great shirt always starts with using only the finest materials. We source our shirting cloth from only a handful of the finest shirting mills across Europe. These linen and 100% long staple Egyptian and US pima cotton fabrics are second to none and not only last the test of time but in fact become softer and comfortable to wear over time.

While the fabric is important, one should not discount other important materials that go into making a shirt including the interfacing used to support the collar and cuffs along with the buttons and thread. Unlike other shirting brands we opt for a non fusible sewn in interfacing for our collar and cuffs. The simple reason is that the fusible interfacing degrades over time and comes unstuck from the fabric creating a bubbling effect. In addition we also use strong core spun thread from Gutterman that ensures the seams never give way. Last but not least we sourced buttons from coveted button makers Maribert in Italy and Courtney and Co in England. We are especially proud of the corozo buttons from Courtney and Co which are sustainably sourced and fully biodegradable.

2. Made in England

First class British tailoring and manufacturing techniques. All our ladies and men’s shirts are made using only single needle stitching through including a French seam for the sides. Many brands opt to use chain stitching for key parts of shirt construction but these seams have a massive Achilles heel. If there is a single break in the chain stitch, the whole line of stitching can quickly unravel. In addition to single needle stitching many seams are sewn two or three times like the shoulders and yoke seams again to ensure longevity of the shirts.

3. First class fit

While quality manufacturing and materials are important, nothing is more critical than the fit. Our ladies and men’s shirt use blocks that we have perfected after a decade of shirt making and offer a nice silhouette without being too tight or too loose. For those seeking a more slim fit or relaxed finish we recommend going up or down a size respectively.
