The Trench Coat, a Formal Business Classic

When it came to designing our version of this heritage coat it was important to incorporate those key features that have defined the coat for over a century. This includes going with a double breasted version of the coat along with sleeve straps, shoulder epaulettes, gun flaps and a rear wind breaker.
We spare no expense in sourcing the finest fabrics and materials for both our ladies and men’s trench coats. This starts by using an 8 oz water resistant cotton twill for the outer shell, supplied by British Millerian. This amazing cloth not only looks first class, but will allow you to perspire while keeping you both dry and warm. When it comes to trench coats, it is really important to stick with 100% cotton versions. Polyester variants may keep you dry, but you will inevitably end up clammy underneath.
Other materials include using the finest check shirting fabrics for the interior lining and under the collar. We also use real buffalo horn buttons and leather buckles. They really enhance the quality and finish of each coat. Last but not least we also use antique cooper D rings and eyelets that contrast beautifully against the three colour options; navy, black and stone.

With regards to caring for our trench coats, we recommend washing any dirt off with a sponge and cold water. If you take them to the dry cleaners make sure you remove the leather straps and belt and remember that the jacket will need to be re-proofed afterwards. We do not recommend dry cleaning them.
